What the Top 1% of B2B Brands Are Doing on Social Media to Achieve 10x Results (Insights from Analyzing 100 Companies)

Social media isn’t just a nice-to-have for B2B brands—it’s a necessity. But here’s the thing: not all social media strategies are created equal. After analyzing 100 companies crushing it with organic social media, we found that the top 1% didn’t just dabble in social; they mastered it. Here’s what they did differently to achieve 10x results.

1. They Played the Content Lottery Daily

Imagine someone told you that you could play the lottery for free as much as you want and that, over time, you were guaranteed to win. Wouldn’t you play every day? That’s exactly what posting organic social content is—a free lottery ticket with no downside.

The top-performing brands posted consistently, often daily, because they understood that each post is a new opportunity to resonate with their audience. Eventually, one of those posts will hit the jackpot, driving massive engagement and brand visibility.

Key Takeaway: Post every day to increase your chances of creating viral, high-impact content.

2. They Tailored Content for Each Platform

You wouldn’t wear a tuxedo to a pool party, and the same logic applies to posting on different social platforms. The top 1% treated each platform as a unique environment with its own language and audience mood.

  • LinkedIn: Focused on business insights and long-form text because their audience is in “work mode.” This makes your post copy on LinkedIn one of the most important parts of your post, because your audience is actually going to take the time to read it.

  • Instagram & TikTok: Leveraged humor, relatability, and short-form video to connect emotionally with their audience. Think workplace memes rather than dry SaaS updates. No one’s going out of their way to research healthcare software on instagram. But they will share a funny, relatable, workplace meme with their friend who is in healthcare, who will then check out your profile for similar content, and then see your lead magnet in your bio.

For example, we made this Instagram video in 10 minutes showing relatable workplace humor that garnered 5 million views and 1,700 followers. All that’s left to do is to start messaging the ICP’s in the followers list and now you have tons of new leads from one video.

Key Takeaway: Adapt your tone, format, and message to fit the audience's mindset on each platform.

3. They Provided Free Value That Truly Delivers

Most lead magnets—like generic marketing ebooks or bland website audits—are pretty terrible. The top brands flipped the script by giving away their absolute best content for free.

Why? Because it builds trust. When your free content is packed with real value, it signals to the audience, "If their free stuff is this good, their paid offers must be incredible."

Here's the counter-intuitive truth: If you're questioning whether to give something away because it's too valuable – that's exactly what you should give away. Why? Because giving away your "secrets" doesn't hurt your business; it builds trust and creates demand for implementation.

Consider this: There are countless free videos about getting in shape and making money, yet the median income remains around $50,000, and obesity rates continue to rise. People don't lack information; they lack implementation and accountability. That's what you're really selling.

Key Takeway: Share your secrets. Give away the “what” for free and sell the “how.” People don’t pay for information—they pay for implementation and accountability.

4. They Tested Relentlessly

The most successful brands aren't posting once or twice a week – they're creating around 100 pieces of content weekly. This massive volume serves two purposes:

  1. It provides more "lottery tickets" for viral success

  2. It creates faster feedback loops for learning what works

When brands say "social media doesn't work for us" after posting once a week for several months, they're making a fundamental error. It’s pretty hard to know if anything works if you only do it a handful of times.

But if you do something a hundred times a week over several months, you’re gonna learn much more and be farther ahead of everyone else doing the bare minimum or worse… giving up before they put real reps in.

If you’re in sales, you know firsthand that you'll learn more in ten days of doing 100 reach-outs than from everything you've ever read or watched.

Key Takeaway: Test more. Post more. Learn faster. Winning on social media requires volume and persistence.

5. They Built Purposeful Funnels

Successful brands understand that every piece of content serves ONE specific purpose in a larger funnel:

  1. Instagram Reel → Drive Profile Follows

  2. Profile → Link in bio Lead Magnet Conversion

  3. Lead Magnet → Email Capture

  4. Email List → Nurture & Call Booking

  5. Call → Sale

The key is focusing on one clear call-to-action rather than overwhelming prospects with multiple options. I’m sure you’ve seen it time and time again where a brand has multiple CTAs and over 10 links in their linktree.

It gets too overwhelming as there are too many options to choose from, leading the prospect to not make any decision at all and click away. Be patient and just focus on one ask while also delivering as much value as you can before the ask.

As the great Alex Hormozi says, "The longer you delay the ask, the bigger the ask you can make."

Key Takeaway: Define the one goal for your social media presence and align all efforts toward achieving it.

Conclusion: The Blueprint for 10x Social Success

The brands winning at social media aren't just lucky – they're following a specific playbook. They post consistently, adapt content to each platform, provide genuine value, test extensively, and maintain laser focus on their funnel. Most importantly, they understand that success on social media isn't about going viral once; it's about building a sustainable system for engaging with and converting your audience over time.

Remember: The best time to start implementing these strategies was yesterday. The second best time is today.
