The healthy man has 1000 wishes
I'm writing this from my apartment in the Gulch after spending the last four days basically living in my bathroom.
Food poisoning is a bitch.
But it got me thinking about something...
There's this quote that goes: "The healthy man has a thousand wishes, the sick man only has one."
When you're hugging a toilet at 3am, you don't give a shit about your business goals or that new car you want.
You just want to feel normal again.
You want to walk to E+Rose without feeling like you're gonna collapse.
You want to hit the sauna without worrying about... well, let's not go there.
Being sick makes you realize how much you take for granted.
Your energy. Your focus. Your ability to think clearly.
The simple pleasure of eating food without your stomach staging a revolt.
But here's what really hit me while I was in my sick bed scrolling through Instagram...
Every young, wealthy person I see has one thing in common.
They're all in great shape.
I'm not talking about being a fitness influencer or having 8% body fat.
I'm talking about basic discipline with their health.
They work out regularly. They eat decent food. They take care of themselves.
Sure, there are exceptions. There's always some tech billionaire who lives on Red Bull and pizza.
But it's rare as fuck.
And I think I know why...
If you can't even muster the discipline to work out 3-4 times a week, how are you gonna have the discipline to build a business?
If you can't stick to basic habits that make you feel good, how are you gonna stick to the hard shit that makes you money?
Your body is the first business you need to manage.
And if you can't manage that, good luck managing anything else.
The guy who hits the gym at 6am before work has already won half the battle.
He's proven to himself that he can do things he doesn't want to do.
He's built the mental muscle that success requires.
Meanwhile, the guy making excuses about why he can't find time to exercise is the same guy making excuses about why his business isn't working.
"I don't have time."
"I'm too busy."
"I'll start Monday."
Sound familiar?
Look, I'm not trying to be your personal trainer here.
But I am trying to help you see the connection.
Success isn't just about having the right strategy or knowing the right people.
It's about having the discipline to execute when you don't feel like it.
And that starts with the basics.
Take care of your body. It's the only one you've got.
And if you want to take care of your business too, I've got something that can help.
I just updated my AI copywriting document with the exact prompts and frameworks I use to write copy that converts.
It's the same stuff I use for my personal brand coaching clients.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go eat some actual food for the first time in four days.
Talk soon,
