Your 20's are for building
YoUR ColLeGe YeARs ArE THe BeSt YeaRS Of YoUr LiFE.
I’m sure you’ve probably heard that before.
Everyone makes it seem like those years of you being in college are the peak and that it’s the best time of your life.
I hate to be the one to break it to you.
But if college was the best years of your life, you’re a loser.
I know this because everyone who’s ever told me that college was the best time of their life, are losers now.
But enough of me just cooking everyone who got a higher education.
In all seriousness your 20’s are meant for building so you can live the rest of your life however you want.
Society seems to get this backwards.
Most people will say that your 20’s are supposed to be the time to live it up because you’re young, and that you can worry about everything else later in life.
I think that’s so stupid.
When you’re young is when your body and mind are at it’s peak, you’re able to recover quicker and take on more risk this early in life.
You literally have your whole life ahead of you and you have plenty of time to make mistakes and find out what works.
You should be grinding as hard as you can in your 20’s to set yourself up for the rest of your life.
Now yes, you can still have some fun in your 20’s, and have great experiences.
There is a healthy balance here, but most people don’t have the self control to keep this balance up.
But you should still set yourself up for success later down the road.
Here’s the way I see it.
You can either have life be hard now, and enjoy the rest of it however you like.
Or you can take it easy now, and the rest of your life will be hard.
Only you can decide which one you want to do.
I personally have worked my ass off and set up my life that by the time I’m in my 30’s I’ll be able to coast for the rest of my life.
I know it’s hard to delay that gratification, especially when it seems like everyone on social media is living it up right now and you’re just stuck working.
But trust me, your time will come and you’ll be able to reap the rewards of your work sooner than you think.
